Inaugural 10-a-side Football Tournament – Latin Training Club Crystal Palace

⚠️ Important note: This document contains the specific rules for this tournament and is governed by them. Although the Official Rules of the Latin Training Club – Crystal Palace League serve as general support, only the sanctions and financial penalties expressly indicated in these rules will be applied. Any other provision of the official regulations will only be used as a reference in serious cases or those not covered here.

1. OBJECTIVE

This tournament aims to promote sport and unity between teams, with a community-focused, competitive, and respectful approach, under the rules of the Official Latin Training Club – Crystal Palace League.

2. REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Player roster (minimum 7, maximum 22)
  • It is recommended to have at least 10 registered players per team.
  • Only up to 18 players may be fielded per match.
  • Team name and representative's contact details
  • Registration fee: £50
  • Confirmation message and signed acceptance of these rules
  • Players must be minimum 16 years old (minors must present authorization signed by parent or legal guardian)

3. TOURNAMENT FORMAT

  • 6 teams participating
  • Home and away system, with cumulative standings
  • Top 4 teams advance to the final stage (semifinals and final)
  • Matches of 2 periods of 40 minutes
  • 10-minute break
  • Maximum waiting time: 15 minutes
  • Minimum players to start: 7

4. SCORING SYSTEM

  • Win: 2 points
  • Draw: 1 point
  • Loss: 0 points

5. TIEBREAKER CRITERIA

  1. Highest points total
  2. Goal difference
  3. Goals scored
  4. Head-to-head record
  5. Fair play (fewer cards)

6. GAME CONDITIONS

  • Format: 10-a-side Football (10 vs 10)
  • No offside rule
  • Substitutions allowed: up to 8 per match, substituted player may return
  • All players must wear same color jerseys
  • The referee may request the name of any player on the field, who must provide it
  • Shin guards are mandatory (Art. 6 official rules)
  • Appropriate footwear for natural or artificial turf
  • Goals must have nets in proper condition to validate goals. If there are none, the match may be played only if the referee considers it doesn't affect visibility or validity of goals.
  • Teams may assist in setting up or adjusting the nets before each match starts, in coordination with the organization.
  • The SportMember application will be officially used by the league for managing player, team, and technical staff registrations.
  • Each player must be registered with their virtual ID card in SportMember, which may be requested by the referee for verification.
  • This platform may also be used by teams for organizing lineups and internal management, promoting transparency and administrative order.
  • The organizer will provide monitoring and technical support until representatives and teams become familiar with using the application.
  • An adaptation period of 2 weeks is established from the tournament start for all teams to be properly registered and operational within SportMember.

6.1 MATCH BALL

  • All teams must present at least one ball in good condition at the start of the match.
  • The ball must be size 5, properly inflated and suitable for official play.
  • If a team doesn't have a ball, and the match cannot start for this reason, the team may be sanctioned according to the Official Rules (Art. 9).

6.2 MATCH REPORT (OFFICIAL RECORD)

  • At the end of each match, the referee will prepare the official match report or record, which will include:
    • Goals scored
    • Cards shown
    • Substitutions made
    • Important match incidents
  • The captains of both teams must sign the report at the end of the match to validate the information.
  • The report will serve as an official reference document for applying sanctions or resolving claims, in accordance with the Official Rules (Art. 12 and 13).

7. TOURNAMENT COSTS

⚠️ Clarification: The financial penalties applicable in this tournament are only those that appear in this section. Other fines from the official regulations will not be automatically applied.

📌 Note about refereeing:Referee fees will be covered by both teams at £20 per team per match.This rate corresponds to the 10-a-side format and ensures the commitment of qualified referees.In case of absence of the assigned referee, the organization will try to find a replacement maintaining the same cost.If a replacement referee charges more, that extra cost will not be covered by the organization unless previously agreed.


8. PRIZES

🏆 Tournament Champion: £200 + trophy + medals

🏅 Runner-up: Trophy + medals

🏀 Top scorer: Recognition award

🧯 Best goalkeeper: Recognition award

9. PROTESTS AND CLAIMS

  • Claims may only be submitted by the team's captain or official representative.
  • Must be made in writing (WhatsApp or digital note) within 48 hours following the match.
  • Claims will only be accepted for improper lineup, player impersonation, or serious administrative errors.
  • Claims will be analyzed based on the referee's report and presented evidence.
  • Claims about technical referee decisions during the game (fouls, goals, penalties, etc.) will not be accepted.

10. UNFORESEEN CASES AND TOURNAMENT SUSPENSION

  • In cases of force majeure (extreme weather, field closure, major unforeseen events), the organization may reschedule affected matches.
  • If it's not possible to resume the tournament, consensus will be sought with teams to resolve the situation in the fairest possible way.

11. ACCEPTANCE AND SIGNATURE

All teams, by participating in this edition, accept these rules and the Official Rules of the Latin Training Club – Crystal Palace League.
